This is for one session of Young Guns Running for one student from January 23rd to March 6th on Mondays 3:15-4:15 at Brentwood.

Young Guns Running Groups focus on improving running endurance and overall fitness, developing “functional" strength, flexibility, and improving core strength and body alignment. Participants will participate in drills, practice form, run in relays, and our groups always end with a fun filled game! Young Guns athletes will likely see improvements in self-image, confidence, attitude, social-interpersonal- relationship-skills, as well as an increased ability to focus on tasks and schoolwork. All groups are open to students from all schools.

Crenshaw was founded in 1949 by Bill and Bee Crenshaw as one of the first private gymnastic studios in the United States. The first tumbling classes were held in the old University Methodist Church. In 1951, they built and moved their gym to 42nd and Burnet Road. In 1976, Art and Gil Elsass purchased the business to continue the tradition of excellence in teaching. Originally started as a part time business, Crenshaw Athletic Clubis now a full-time endeavor. In May of 1984, the club made its present move to 5000 Fairview and became one of the most prestigious gymnastics facility in the country. The programs under Gil and Candace Elsass now include Gymnastics, Swimming, Pre-school Education, After School Care, Birthday Parties and an Adult Fitness Center.

The latest statistics on declining childhood “nature” time are startling. Kids just aren’t getting outside and exploring like they used to a generation ago.

Earth Native wants to help. A major part of our school’s mission is to help children develop strong connections to nature. We do this though a unique method of environmental education called Coyote Mentoring which utilizes child’s passions -- old school stuff like playing in the mud, building forts, catching critters, hiding and sneaking, and skipping stones as a foundation for adventure and learning. We use these child’s passions as the spark that drives a curriculum that is centered around natural learning cycles that will help your children not just build strong connections but learn a ton about the natural world around them.
